Application Deadline: 15th August 2026
Applications are now open for the 2026 Germany-CGIAR++ Science-Impact Hub Junior Scientists Program. Germany and the CGIAR & partners share a long tradition of collaborating in development-oriented agricultural research. The Hub aims to further strengthen this partnership. It is embedded in the CGIAR Capacity Sharing Accelerator, where it creates mechanisms for a stronger engagement of German science – especially early-career researchers – in CGIAR++ activities, and amplifies existing collaborations. The Hub’s mission is to strengthen ties between German universities, German research institutions and CGIAR++ centers worldwide.
Through a joint Junior Scientists Program (JSP), the Hub supports and empowers the next generation of impact-oriented researchers, offering hands-on experience, mentorship and interdisciplinary training directly aligned with global development goals such as the SDGs, the Paris Climate Agreement, and other multilateral commitments.
Application Requirements
Enrolment in a M.Sc. program of agricultural sciences or related degree (e.g. biology, geography, sociology, veterinary medicine, marine biology, forestry, political sciences, law, economics etc.) at a German university or post M.Sc. (not enrolled for a PhD).
