Applications are now open for the 2027 KAUST Global Fellowship Program. The KAUST Global Fellowship Program attracts and supports outstanding emerging research leaders from around the world, empowering them to build a path towards a fully independent career. The program inspires the next generation of scientists and engineers to address global challenges and create opportunities that benefit humanity. This merit-based program targets excellent postdoctoral researchers with breakthrough ideas that can complement, support, and advance the major research priorities of KAUST. In our ‘research-first’ environment, Global Fellows have full access to world-class research tools and equipment, unparalleled facilities, and expertise required to realise their research ambitions, supported by a strong community of excellence.
For an applicant to be eligible for this Fellowship:
People of all nationalities are welcome to apply. We encourage female applications to promote a better gender balance in science and engineering.
Benefits
Global Fellows receive up to $40,000 in dedicated research funding for their research proposal, along with a yearly living stipend of $75,000 plus a comprehensive benefits package, including medical insurance, on-campus accommodation, schooling for up to three children, relocation allowance, and annual travel assistance. This package, allows Global Fellows to focus on their research full-time with financial security.
The KAUST Global Fellowship Program offers a variety of learning and development programs designed to support and improve Fellows’ existing skills while nurturing and developing new skills. These programs include the KAUST Mentoring Program, the Harvard HE Teaching Certificate, and Leadership programs/ certificates. Each Fellow’s learning experience is enhanced further through networking opportunities with other Fellows and successful alumni of the Fellowship program.
