Applications are now open for the 2026 ACEP Youth Champions for Fiscal Accountability (YCFA) Fellowship. Now in its third cohort, the fellowship is designed to equip young Ghanaians with the knowledge and skills to understand and interrogate Ghana’s public finance system, follow public money from allocation to expenditure, and promote fiscal accountability within their communities and platforms.

The Youth Champions for Fiscal Accountability Fellowship provides young Ghanaians with practical exposure to issues surrounding public finance, fiscal accountability, governance and anti-corruption.

Through the programme, participants will strengthen their understanding of how public resources are allocated and spent and how citizens can contribute to greater accountability.

• Be Ghanaian citizens aged 18–35.
• Undergraduate and postgraduate students are eligible to apply.
• Demonstrate an interest in fiscal accountability, governance, anti-corruption or public finance.
• Be willing to participate fully in the training.
• Be willing to complete the mandatory budget output.
• Be able to commute to the training venue in Accra, Ghana.

Fellowship Programme

Selected participants will take part in a two-day intensive, in-person training.

Dates: October 19–20, 2026
Location: Accra, Ghana

The fellowship aims to help participants understand the public finance system, track public funds from allocation to expenditure, and carry fiscal accountability into their communities and platforms.
