Application Deadline: 14 August 2026.
Applications are now open for the 2026 CGIAR Climate, Peace and Security Spring School. Early career researchers in South Africa are invited to a fully funded three-day Spring School exploring climate, peace and security through interdisciplinary learning, practical training, fieldwork and regional networking.
The University of Fort Hare and the CGIAR Climate Security team are inviting early career researchers based in South Africa to a three-day Spring School on climate, peace and security from 2 to 4 September 2026.
The Climate, Peace and Security Spring School is designed to help address that gap. The University of Fort Hare and the CGIAR Climate Security team at the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT are organising the programme in collaboration with the University of KwaZulu-Natal and the University of the Free State.
The Spring School will give early career researchers interdisciplinary knowledge, practical skills and regional connections to generate evidence and inform climate-resilient and peace-positive policy and practice.
